Happy Friday, everybody. And it is, indeed, a very happy Friday. My wife had breast cancer surgery two weeks ago and had a tumor and some surrounding tissue removed. The surgeon also removed some of Kathy’s lymph nodes for testing. The lymph nodes were found to be cancer-free, and so was the surrounding tissue. Today we learned that the type of cancer Kathy has is of low risk for recurring. While she won’t need to have chemotherapy, my wife will be receiving radiation treatments five days week for four weeks. This will make my work schedule a bit hectic because the hospital is an hour’s drive away. I don’t care. That’s a small price to pay to make sure Kathy gets the treatments she needs.
I am also very happy to post this wonderful filler courtesy of Dragonaur. If you aren’t familiar with Dragonaur’s work, be sure to check out the links below. Both comics are great!

I’ll try to post a filler and an update when ever I can, but between a full-time job and daily trips to the hospital, I’ll be busy for a while.
Thanks for your patience, and as always, thanks for reading Danielle Dark.
Sorry to hear you and your wife had this scare. I hope that it gets taken care of and that your wife recovers swiftly. A coworker of mine just went through a similar circumstance and she just returned to work after five months of treatment.
All the best, I wish her a speedy and safe recovery!
Glad your wife had no malignant tissue, have an idea of the Hospital they are one of the best in the U.S. prayers and thoughts out to her.
GOOD NEWS! Happy to hear that it was contained, and that chemo is not needed. Take care of both of yourselves.
Good news and thanks for keeping us posted!
Pass on a big hug to Kathy from your fans!
Tigershark06 – Kathy is taking this as a wakeup call and is handling it like the strong lady she is. Me? I’m the high strung artist type, but I’m hanging in there. Kathy’s calm and optimism is a thing of beauty. I know she’ll come through this.Still, she really appreciates reading the well wishes from my readers. I do, too. Thanks for everything!
Dragonrider – I have nothing but high praise for all the doctors, nurses and staff at Parkview North in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Everyone we have met in the oncology center have been warm, caring people. Thank you for your kind words.
Curtis Garrett – It is good news. We received a copy of the pathology report and it put Kathy in the 96% – 98% recovery and low risk of recurrence range. This whole experience really has made us aware of how precious good health is. We both have vowed to take better care of ourselves.
ExpectNoMercy – Thanks! I’ll be happy to give Kathy a big (but gentle because she’s still a bit sore) hug. I am overwhelmed by everyone’s wonderful words of encouragement and support. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
