Happy Friday, everybody. I hope everyone has had a good week. I took a week of vacation to bask in the joys of home ownership. Translation – my wife and I are painting kitchen and dining room. Well, at least we have started the project. I’ve had to repair two areas of drywall in the kitchen ceiling. Apparently, there were some recessed lights in the kitchen that were removed by the previous owners. The patch job they did was less than spectacular, so I decided to fix them. Everything is patched, the drywall compound is ready for sanding and priming and painting can begin. Those home improvement shows on TV always make it look like these things can be done in a few minutes. Wrong. Still, my wife and I are happy with the progress, and we will have a brighter looking kitchen and dining room when we are done. Yeah, done. Just in time for all the outdoor work that comes with warm weather. Like I said, the joys of home ownership.
