Happy Friday, everybody. I’m sorry, but all I have this week is a pencil comp. I intended to have a single panel page completed, but things conspired against me. My wife and I have been trying to get all the yard work completed. The long, hard winter took its toll on our property, especially the back yard. To top it off, when we got the pool cover off last Sunday, we found hundreds of tadpoles swimming happily in the water. I’m going to try to catch as many as possible and release them in the river before I start dumping in chlorine.
I hope everyone has a great weekend. Thanks for reading Danielle Dark.
No worries Jay
Not a problem. Have a nice week!
Today I found out that it is illegal to put the tadpoles in the river, or any other public water way. So, the tadpoles will have to stay in my swimming pool and be killed when I add the chlorine. I’m feeling pretty bummed about it. I was hoping I could give the tadpoles a chance. It seems senseless to me. I know they’re just tadpoles, but I guess I’m just a big softy.
What a pain. I suspect it is to prevent the possible transfer of diseases. RIP tadpoles.
Danielle’s eyes are brilliant. They convey many emotions – worry, fear, love, compassion and others – all with a few strokes of a pencil. I wish I was an artist.
@Chris: Thanks. Sometimes I think the pencil work is better than the final art.
