I mentioned a few weeks ago that I love aircraft. My favorite planes are from World War II. This manipulated photo is of a B-25 Mitchell Bomber. Through the magic of Photoshop, I have envisioned what it would look like with my favorite vampire as nose art. I know my comic wasn’t around then, but I thought it would look cool. What do you think?
I’m still working on Off Hours. I”m nearly done with the second of three pages.
I, too, like WWII aircraft. I used to live in south central Texas and we had the Confederate Air Force in Harlingen. They were a treat to watch. In Houston we had Ellington Field which held some great air shows and exhibits. Later I moved to Las Vegas and Nellis AFB was a whole different kind of aircraft watching. Red Flag was particularly exciting! Fighter planes from all over the world flying combat sorties against each other was great. Watching the flight line at night and seeing those afterburners light up was a thrill! And, of course, the Thunderbirds. What can I say. Gotta love fighter/ bomber aircraft from all eras.
Keep up the good work with Danielle. I miss her when you are gone.
Mike
Nice photo of the B-25, Jay. Did you take it? From some of the nose art I’ve seen they’d likely use a more revealing and more deadly picture of Danielle. I love aircraft too, but more into the WWI types. You showed me how to draw a B-17 back in High School, I remember. Thanks!
nice bomber. i like this one better than the flying fortress
Well, Danielle has said that she was involved in the war in the 1940’s. Maybe this was added by a very appreciative air crew.
Pilot 1: Hey, Danny, who’s that Danielle lady on your plane? I don’t know her.
Danny: She helped me get out of Denmark when my plane was shot down last year.
Pilot 1: Danish resistance, eh? She’s cute. Looks like a picture a man would have of his mother. Do you what she thinks about it?
Danny: She’s seen it, when she was in England back in the spring. She liked it.
Pilot 1: So where is she now? Relaxing up in Scotland somewhere?
Danny: No, she said she was going back to the continent somewhere; wouldn’t tell me where. No doubt she is making hell for the Germans.
