So, if the knife is really just a knife now, destroy it, on video. Shatter the gem, melt the metal. Metal can be burnt, do that.

Danielle keeps the knife because it is her husband was murdered with it. She later used it to avenge his death.Even Danielle wonders why she has held onto the knife.
