Danielle Dark was born in 1829 and was cast into the world of the undead in 1852 at the age of 23. She is a vampire with two definite sides to her personality. She is a caring, gentle person who desires to have a normal "life." Unfortunately, she frequently falls victim to her vampiric bloodlust. When her darker mind takes charge, Danielle is a vicious creature who delights in filling her victims with absolute terror.
This is easy for Danielle to accomplish, because she is a vampire of enormous power. Her abilities are far greater than vampires much older and experienced than her. When the darkness of spirit takes her, Danielle is cruel and heartless. She seldom kills as she enjoys the horror experienced by her victims when she informs them that she may strike them again and again.
When morning comes, however, Danielle is plagued with remorse for her violent deeds. For her, the real hell of being vampire is the fact that she possesses a conscience and suffers intense feelings of guilt for her actions at night. As a result, Danielle, and others like her, try to find activities to stave off the desire for human blood.
Unlike the vampires of mythology, Danielle, and her kind, are unharmed by the light of day and hold down jobs among the unknowing mortals around them. Danielle works as a web designer for a manufacturing company in Indianapolis, Indiana. She has recently arrived in town at the beginning of this tale. |
