Happy Friday, everybody. It has been a long time since I updated the comic. Too long, actually.
I won’t go into details or make any lame excuses, but I have been very busy. Rest assured, I have been working on the comic and a new page will be coming soon. In the meantime, here is an illustration I did for a local car show. The annual event raises money for ALS research and this year the organizers presented a check for $28,000 to MDA. Not bad for a small town car show.
The Kunkel Cruise-In held its 20th anniversary car show this year and I was asked to do an illustration of Dave Kunkel’s 1965 Corvette. The car show is in memory of Dave Kunkel, who succumbed to ALS, more commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. The illustration was used on the event’s t-shirts and on the award plaques. It was an honor to make the illustration.
I hope everyone is in good health and have had a wonderful summer. As always, thanks for reading Danielle Dark.
I was hoping to hear how well they did. Sounds great. Looking forward to new pages.
Curtis: They did great this year, especially when you consider the less-than-favorable weather they had during one of the two days of the event.
